Extremely wonderful shots .. I think the Eastside had more gargoyles than the West .. I posted one from the All Angels Church on West 80th between Bdway and WEA and one sitting atop a town house on E. 61 off Fifth
AB from Phone Cam 365 today commented on my blog about gargoyles (some constant theme on my blog, ;-)) and linked to yours. I am really fascinated: so many photos of high quality of NY gargoyles :-). I am still wondering where/when and why this gargoyle fashion in NY started ...
Daryl> Right now there appears to be more gargoyles "discovered" on the upper West Side than the East Side. We'll see how it adds up over time. Great gargoyle shots on your site!
Martina > I love the gargoyles on your site! Not sure when the gargoyle fashion started in NY, but I'm sure your neck of the woods has plenty... ;-)

About Gargoyles of NY
Follow me on my journey combing the streets of New York City, discovering and photographing its Gargoyles, Grotesques and Chimeras. These often times whimsical carved-stone, metal or wood masterpieces are usually high above the eye's view, too far to be appreciated and hardly ever noticed.
