IMG_0230.jpgIn the city, this is the mother lode of Gargoyles, Chimeras and Grotesques! I was overwhelmed with trying to photograph every one of them. I'm sure I'd missed a good number of them. Hopefully I'd photographed enough to prompt you to go see them in person. They are spectacular! Make sure to bring your binoculars or even better if you can fly. They were shot over a two-day period because it started raining the first time just as I'd arrived at the church.IMG_9935.jpgIMG_0013.jpgIMG_0017.jpgIMG_0060.jpgIMG_0074.jpgIMG_0087.jpgIMG_0092.jpgIMG_0099.jpgIMG_0101.jpgIMG_0107.jpgIMG_0109.jpgIMG_0114.jpgIMG_0129.jpgIMG_0135.jpgIMG_0148.jpgIMG_0150.jpgIMG_0178.jpgIMG_0180.jpgIMG_0182.jpgIMG_0190.jpgIMG_0199.jpgIMG_0310.jpgIMG_0313.jpgIMG_0316.jpgIMG_0317.jpgIMG_0318.jpgIMG_0321.jpgIMG_0325.jpgIMG_0021.jpgIMG_0030.jpgThese two little cuties are located on Claremont Avenue.IMG_0335.jpgIMG_0337.jpgLocation: 490 Riverside Drive between 122nd & 120th Streets (NYC). About Gargoyles of NY

Follow me on my journey as I comb the streets of New York City, discovering and photographing its Gargoyles, Grotesques and Chimeras. These often times whimsical carved-stone, metal or wood masterpieces are usually high above the eye's view, too far to be appreciated and hardly ever noticed.
